Cuckmere Haven Title Image On the 10th of December 2008 The Environment Agency announced plans to end maintenance of the flood defences at Cuckmere Haven. This will result in the flooding of the Cuckmere Valley and a return to its natural state - a salt marsh.
 
My mission is to document this change from beginning to end as it happens.

On the 15th of December 2009 this project was featured on the BBC local news, South East Today. You can watch the short clip filmed in the freezing cold and harsh winter sun at Cuckmere Haven including an interview with me and a selection of the best images from the project so far by clicking on the video to the right (double-click to go fullscreen).
